My son has spent hours playing with this remote controlled transforming car. For the cost, we expected a little more realistic car functionality when in car mode. The front wheels are not controlled and do not touch the ground. Hence the car spins via the 2 rear wheels with a 3rd caster wheel under the middle of the car. For the age group this is marketed to combined with the price, he and I expected it to be better quality.The motor that transforms the car to a robot and back seems to have sufficient torque. The motors driving the wheels are a little slow and unable to handle the smallest of transitions in the flooring (hardwoods to ceramics over a threshold for instance) mainly due to the super small caster wheel. The caster wheel has even gotten hung up on the ceramic tile grout joints.Out of the box we figured out that there are no limiters on the transformation process. If your child holds the transform control it will simply grind the gears used to make the transformation occur once transitioned from car to robot, or robot to car. If there is anything at all in the way (no matter how small, hard, or soft) the transformation will stop and the gears will grind (click click click click... ).Got these for my nephews for Christmas. They lasted longer than they usually do and the boys had a great time playing with them. Don't forget to get batteries, otherwise your nephews will never let you forget it!JesusBought as a gift for a 7yr old, she loved it til it fell apart...Poorly made buy very cool idea.I boughter it for grandson for a christmas gift he likes it, so I am okay with it.The car is flimsy but tough. My kids have dropped this car so many times. It still runs...it's fast and the demo is great. The battery life socks but overall it's pretty good.I got what was described, nothing more nothing less. It works on hard floors and carpetOk #1: I like basic instructions for things that "transform" - there are literally ZERO instructions that come with this thing.#2: it didn't work from the second we took it out of the box. We put batteries in & immediately my son wanted to play with it (obviously). The wheels just spun in place. It's like the car wasn't heavy enough to get it traction. On a tile floor. Not sure how it "transforms" since the two buttons on the remote did nothing other than make an awful noise. I considered exchanging for another or contacting the seller, but I had read the reviews before purchasing and didn't want to go through the same thing 4 more times potentially. I had just ignored them to give this thing a shot for the price. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS, PEOPLE!! THIS THING IS A P.O.S.The item was bought for my young nephew who loves toy cars but I wanted something different. He was fascinated with how the car transformed between a car and Robot with ease. The robot controls are easy to use. Batteries was not included and had to be fitted to both the controller and the Robot, but this wasn't an issue at all. My only negative point is that the transformer is quite flimsy when you handle it, but otherwise its a fantastic toy and so much fun.Seems very flimsy - but my granddaughter loved it. Hope it is stronger than it looks !!!Although it's easy to use. It's very flimsy and does not transform.
