I live in Arizona and bought this to keep the sun from making my little car into an oven during the summer months. It works for that, but where the heck to you put the thing when you take it off at work. The cover is very bulky when it's off the car. It comes with a nice storage bag. When you receive the cover it's pretty jammed in to it. If you have a nice clean and large surface on which to neatly fold the cover you might be able to get it back in there an only take up 25% of your limited cargo space in the smart car. Maybe if I parked next to one of the many huge pickup trucks in the lot I could use their bed as a folding platform. Nah! They all have stuff in them.While it doesn't work for my purpose, It would be great if you were going to leave your Smart Car outside for extended periods of time, like at an airport or on the street near your home or in your driveway. On the other hand you might return to find the cover gone!I think the car cover concept works better for larger cars that have a real trunk. It's not a smart decision for a Smart Car, in my opinion.Product seems durable enough and waterproof but I spent half an hour trying to fit the product onto my '09 smart and it would not fit, it was about an inch and a half too short to fit over the mirror. The workaround is to strap it on with the included straps.I just got the cover today and the shipping was fast but I was not satisfied with the cover itself. I have a 2009 smart and the ears for the side mirrors didn't fit it was off a lot, it fit one mirror but not the other one it wouldn't reach to fit so I had to push the two ear pockets inside, fold the mirrors inside, and just put the cover as if didn't have those pockets, which it would be better if they just eliminate those mirror pockets all together. Also the length is a little shorter it doesn't cover all the way down to the tires. I think that for the high price it should've been a better fit, I would return it but unfortunately there's no other ones that are for all weather.I like everything about my cover, I love it thank you so much.Fit the smart car passion perfect. I expected a 4 layer cover as described but it appears to be only the breathable layer. It seems sturdy but no padding layer or soft layer against the car. I look forward to using it and might update the review after winter use. I plan to use it outdoors in the driveway. What impressed me most about this sale is the seller. The cover was shipped fast and he followed through until I received it. There was no bulky packing to throw away. He cares about his product, his customer service and the planet. It doesn't get better than that. Although the cover was a little less than I expected from the description and the price it fits well. If it protects the car over winter I will be happy. I am already happy with the seller and would shop with him again anytime.
